Speak Japanese From Day One
Our teaching method is built on a simple promise: to get you using Japanese in the real world, quickly and confidently.
The Philosophy of “Practical Japanese”
Learning by Doing
Our school’s practical Japanese teaching method is our priority. We believe the fastest way to fluency is to use the language, not just memorize it. Our professional instructors use a uniquely developed approach that guides you through the exciting experience of language acquisition. We combine structured lessons with project work, visitor sessions, and real-world interactions to fine-tune your language skills for practical use.
Rapid, Real-World Progress
Our method is so effective that even complete beginners start communicating in their first week and can achieve proficiency in daily conversation after only 6 months of study.
Our Project-Based Japanese Learning: The “Wagashi” Example

Step 1: Experience & Choose a Topic
Learning starts with curiosity. Based on their interests, students first participate in a real-world experience, like a Wagashi (Japanese sweets) making event at a historic Kyoto shop. After this hands-on experience, the group decides on a specific topic to research further, such as the history of Wagashi, its ingredients, or interviewing a master artisan.
Step 2: Investigate & Prepare
With a topic chosen, it’s time for real-world research. Students put their Japanese to use outside the classroom, conducting interviews with Wagashi artisans and surveying famous shops in Kyoto. Afterwards, they gather their findings to create a presentation, checking each other’s pronunciation and practicing their public speaking skills to ensure everyone is well-prepared.

Step 3: Present & Reflect
The project culminates in a presentation to other classes, providing a chance to showcase all their hard work. This is more than just a speech; it’s a moment of immense accomplishment. Afterwards, the group watches a video of their performance and receives feedback, allowing them to see their progress objectively and reflect on their journey from start to finish.
