Hello, my name is Daria. I am 23 years old. My hometown is Kyiv. I fled Ukraine at the beginning of March 2022. Now, I have been in Japan for almost 10 months.Once, on social networks, I came across information about the JSUS program to help Ukrainians in Japan. Without thinking twice, I contacted them by email. I quickly got a response from the language school “Nihongo Center” in Kyoto.

When I first arrived, I was met and settled in a nice small apartment. Since I barely knew Japanese, it was a bit difficult for me to walk around and do some paperwork and ask for help. But since I’m being given training, now I can understand Japanese and talk to people.

Of course, there are people who do not understand our situation with you and are negative, but there are not many of them.Japan is really helping Ukrainians a lot in this difficult time for the world. Evacuated people are given the opportunity to study, work and, of course, receive financial assistance.Coming here, you can be sure that you will not be left in trouble.

Now, I have no specific plans, except to rebuild my life and help my native Ukraine.I believe in our warriors and in our people. Victory for Ukraine!

Слава Україні! Героям слава!
